About the Artist

John Austin Speck was born in Fort Worth, Texas.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Philosophy (double-major) from Texas State University; a Master of Education in Secondary Education with a Specialization in Art from Stephen F. Austin State University; and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University.

John resides in College Station, Texas, with his wife (also an artist: www.jamiespeck.com) and three beautiful children.  A career educator, John teaches Art in the College Station Independent School District and serves as part-time instructor for Blinn College.
